Pleased as punch that Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project won second place, Highly Commended in the Heritage category of the Constructing Excellence North East Awards 2015. Acclaimed for the engagement, learning and innovations in conservation of the listed building, this was jointly awarded to Conchie & Co and Kevin Doonan Architect, Heritage Consolidation Ltd, The Archaeological Practice and the Friends of the North Pennines. we were pipped to the post by Dunston Staiths, but mighty proud to be ahead of Hexham Abbey, Exhibition Park, Newcastle Central Station and the Tees Transporter Bridge. What a great celebration of the work being done on the fantastic heritage in our region. #CENEAwards2015
